Hole 12 - Porte Cochere 

Par - 5

Distance - 528 yards

Pro Tip - Formally a par 4, the 12th has been lengthened and is now a par 5. The hole plays to the former eighth green with the burn guarding the front. It is probably best played as a three shot hole - laying up your second to the original green will offer you the best chance to land your third on the dance floor.

Hole 11 - St Andrews Fairmont - Torrance Course Guide

Hole 11 - Bell Tower

Par - 3

Distance - 165 yards

Pro Tip - With the ancient skyline of St. Andrews behind the green as a distraction the par 3 11th is a stern challenge. The tees are now aligned from the left which appears to open up the green surface and means you do not have to challenge the bunker on the left. Still a great putting surface, the pin's location can make or break a good score here.

Hole 10 - Lang Whang

Par - 4

Distance - 457 yards

Pro Tip - There is only one bunker and it is left of the fairway, a burn protects the right side and that together with a shallow green makes the tenth a tough start to the back nine.

Hole 9 - Bit of a Wa' 

Par - 4

Distance - 405 yards

Pro Tip - This downwind par 4 ends the front 9. Both the fairway and the green often stimp over 10. Favouring the left of the tee and then aiming for the middle right side of the green can work. Avoid all
three bunkers if possible and do not challenge the left greenside one!

Hole 8 - St Andrews Fairmont - Torrance Course Guide

Hole 8 - Bell Rock

Par - 3

Distance - 191 yards

Pro Tip - The new tees are further to the left making this par 3 extremely challenging from the tee. This line is now almost over the deep front bunker, and playing long is not an option as there are 2 very serious sod walled bunkers over the green's right side. Short right is the safest option.

 Hole 7 - Dinnae Be Greedy

Par - 4

Distance - 296 yards

Pro Tip - The 7th is now a drivable par 4. The bunker that used to be protecting he green has been removed, challenging you to drive the green. The entire right side has been strengthened with bunkers and waste area, over the green runs away quickly. Still the safe area available to the left off he tee for most golfers.

Distance - 507 yards

Pro Tip - This par 5 is a great test. Bear left off the tee and try to avoid he eight bunkers is good advice! The undulating fairway offers challenging lies. The green is relatively flat but exposure to the breeze can make putting interesting.
